Devant une date

On utilise une préposition

• devant une année ou un mois : IN
  • in March
  • in 2022
• devant un jour ou une date : ON
  • on Saturday
  • on August 22nd, 2023

Les nombres ordinaux

On utilise les nombres ordinaux pour le numéro des jours :

• règle : -th
  • fourth (4th), fifth (5th) sixth (6th), seventh (7th), eighth (8th), ninth (9th), tenth (10th), eleventh (11th), twelfth (12th), thirteenth (13th), twentieth (20th), thirtieth (30th), fortieth (40th), fiftieth (50th), sixtieth (60th), hundredth (100th)
    
• exceptions :
  -st : first (1st), twenty-first (21st), thirty-first (31st)
  -nd : second (2nd), twenty-second (22nd)
  -rd : third (3rd), twenty-third (23rd)
